Castles update and a biscornu!

Hi all! I got part 11 of my Castles in the Air completed on the 7th. Part 11 is on the lower left, the next part mirrors it. I hope to get back to this later in the month....I am a couple of parts behind and need to catch up. Of course, that depends on how busy we get, as school starts for DD on the 25th!


Also, I finished off my monthly biscornu last night. This is Summer Breeze by Cat's Whiskers. It uses Dinky-Dyes silk, and the fabric is a solo opalescent from Silkweavers. I subbed a hummingbird bead for the top button. This was the fourth of the seasonal biscornu from Cat's Whiskers and Dinky-Dyes. Pictures of all my biscornu are in my Webshots album.

Biscornu again!

I'm still stitching a biscornu a month, just to reduce the collection! This month it is another collaboration biscornu from Cat's Whiskers and Dinky-Dyes, the Winter Wonderland biscornu. I changed the fabric to Silkweaver's 28ct Alpine Ice Reflections, and used crystal beads in place of the stars that came with it. Stitched the top with one silk sequence, and reversed it for the back. Fun and quick!

November biscornu already!

This was a quick stitch, so I'm all up to date with the Basket of Biscornu blog entries...one more to go in December! This is Fabulous Fall by Cat's Whiskers, in collaboration with Dinky-Dyes, who supplied the silk for the chartpack. I used Silkweaver's Tawny Sparkle 32ct opalescent belfast, and a couple of gold beads for the center. Top and bottom are shown.
