Back from the Outer Banks (OBX to us natives!) where a fun time was had by all! At the peak there were 29 of us, 3 generations including my dad and his sister, my three brothers, several spouses (used to us by now!) and nearly all the cousins, including a baker's dozen of second cousins! We ate well, laughed a lot, saw a slide show of the prior generations and us in our youth, played games, went site-seeing, enjoyed the pool and the ocean, told stories and watched some soccer. I'm exausted!
Crazy cousins!I even managed to finish one small stitching project and nearly finish a second (which I put the final touches on while doing laundry back home). First is Blueberries by Little House Needleworks, from the Fruit Series. Fabric is a 28ct Silkweaver Solo, threads are Crescent Colors. I added the butterfly button.
Second is from Val's Stuff, called April Showers. It is stitched on 28ct sage/white Graziano linen with Weeks floss, and JABC buttons called for. It was really fun and I'm sure kept the rain away, as it was HOT and sunny all week at the beach!

ReplyDeletelol mj! My niece Christina will be happy to hear that! The hulk behind her in the first pic is her 14 year old brother Jordan! I'm all in Duke blue in front and DD Kira has a brown shirt next to me. DH is behind us, and my other 2 nieces Emily and Kelly are between Kira and Christina.
