Blue Bayou framed!

Last Saturday I was able to get over to my LNS (before the snow on Sunday/Monday!) to meet some friends for lunch. I also managed to pick up a few more items I wasn't able to get at the open house, including the Crossed Wing new Dogs Day Out chart, and the Just Nan 15-point biscornu pattern, among other little items. I also was able to get one of the items I had taken for framing....Blue Bayou! This is taken from a low angle due to the glass reflecting too much...it's actually square, and hung on point because I like it that way! I still have 2 more framed pieces to get back (things I finished last year) sometime in April.

I'm still working on Growth Rings, and am getting near the end of the third main color skein, and near to finishing the top two thirds of the pattern in the main color. I am debating how to proceed....finish all of the main color continued on the second page, or work on the secondary color in the top two thirds........either way, I'm enjoying it! Very relaxing to work on, in fact.

  1. It looks stunning in the frame. The frame you chose suits it perfect.

  2. This is beautiful, Kathy! Mine won't be looking quite as well framed. I ended up with about 1/2-3/4 in. left before the selvage on one side, so my will have to be framed much closer. I love the look of yours. I love that new Dogs Day Out, too.

  4. Oh this is just stunning! I have added it to my wish list. I can't find a UK distributor so it will have to wait for a more favourable exchange rate! I love the frame and hanging it on point is inspired!
