Here are the pics....the quilt is based on the attic window pattern, but since the windows are different, I dubbed it a Memory quilt for our friends in Iowa.
And my friend Carolyn will be happy to know I finally took a picture of my Holland Landscapes by Chatelaine....so far I am done thru part 5, plus the tulips over the top window. The fabric is from Silkweaver, and is called Dreamin'. I'm going to work on it all next week after I finish a biscornu from Sweetheart Tree. I have a baskeball game to watch this afternoon (Duke is playing Georgetown) and didn't want to deal with the big Chatelaine while trying to watch!
Carolyn gave me a Fabby Award, and I'm happy, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do!
Help!
Found your blog through Carolyn and just wanted to comment on your Holland! It's gorgeous and the material is a great match. I am working on my first Chatelaine too, I am doing Tuscany Town Mandela and have parts of the final 11 and 12 to complete.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt and tree. I was drooling over the close up pics from the tree and your Holland Mandala. Makes me wanting to start mine soon to.
ReplyDeleteOhhh...and the award. If I understood correctly you have to copy the picture, put it on your blog, write down your stuff, and add 5 links to other blogs? At least that was what I was planning to do tonight with my own nomination...lol.
OMgoodness - I'm almost speechless. It gets prettier and prettier each time I see it. I am going to have to get this one. Not sure when in the heck I'm going to stitch it, but it's a must. Just like the Hawaiian (which Gabi has stitched - gorgeous, gorgeous!)I'm sure you've seen hers.
ReplyDeleteTo the quilt, I don't even remember this one, but I love it. Trees are looking good, too. WTG
i just love the critter thing on the far right
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh my, the Chatelaine piece is GORGEOUS! I'll be watching your progress on this.
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks to all who left such nice comments!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hint on how to do the right thing on the Award from Carolyn (blushing!)
As for the "critter thing" kaghos...I assume you mean the cat paw name badge...it's a Stitchy Kitty design, and I added a link. Off to make a list of addictions!
That is such a beautifull piece already! Can't wait for more progress.
ReplyDeleteAll of your pieces are just STUNNING! I'm totally drooling over the Chatelaine. I've yet to do any of her larger pieces.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!!!!!!!! that piece is amazing! I found this thru another blog link also and just had to come check it out. I've bookmarked you on my blog to continue to follow. Happy stitching
